BORNEO TRIBAL MUSIC

The question is
Where does the music take you?
We often find ourselves drawn to tribal music
The pulse of the beats
The drift of the fine strings
The scent of the natural wood
Almost reaching us
From afar

Yet I wonder
Where is the music taking us?
Why did you and I stop when the SAPE PLAYER
Looked into the distance expressionless
As his fingers ran along the SAPE
And a watery music filled the jungle sanctuary

ALMOST

It was almost Peaceful

IT WAS ALMOST

Yet I was disturbed
When another singer sang
My ancestors stand with me
I can feel their spirit
And the two bodies of bare chested warrior dancers

NOT FROM SARAWAK

moved in expressions of anger

The crowd wass going wild

I felt..

The spirit is moving

But

Not THE HOLY SPIRIT.

I focussed and cast out that spirit..

Although a sea of people stirred in rising confusion

I focussed and cast out the spirit.

And my mind went back to the SAPE PLAYER

and his heavenly strings...

BORNEO TRIBAL MUSIC

is blessed

for we had a revival

In the highlands of BORNEO

THE HOLY SPIRIT MOVED

and THE HOLY SPIRIT IS MOVING NOW

  1. When Jacob back from Laban he spent his night at Betel where he dreamed of a ladder descended from heaven.

Peter was praying on the top floor of a building when in a vision he saw a large sheet full of four-legged animals came down from heaven.

On the day of the Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended upon the people like tongues of fire.

Holy Spirit is moving in many ways and forms; in visions, dreams, speaking in tongues, preaching, reading God's word or voice whispered directly from God. The purposes are for our good. God says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

    Pray about it.

  2. AMEN!

"You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" [1John 4:4].

"...Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me..." [Matthew 28:18].

"...you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you..." [Acts 1:8]

As long as we walk in humility, holiness, and love, He is at work in us and through us.
