RUN

RUN

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Away from here

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbye
I nearly do

Light up...

Slower slower
We don't have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads

Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess

  1. I once read children story book entitled "Run for your Life"
The cover showed the picture of two boys running

I wonder why do we have to run for our life
    No matter what's our pace
What is important is to run and run...and run

The time will come when we have to rest
That will be the time for eternal rest
The time when we have to close our mortal eyes
    Free from tears and sorrow
To be with the Father at the ever lasting rest.

  2. When my late father was at the point of death
I was a few meters away
Unable to witness his last breath
    So pitiful and yet painful

    Remembering of the next world
There will be no more tears and pain
The eternal promise will come to pass
When Jesus comes in his glory
Appears with his archangel and glory
On the clouds up high in the sky
    Witness by all human race
    Not even one will miss
That will be the joyous moment
To be ascended together with the Father
    In the everlasting rest.
