THE FIRST BORN

The first born was left alone when it was time to plant.

Left in a gong and floated away.

The Spirit of Love came down from the Moon

and carried him to his new home

on the Moon.

The second born was accepted as the Paramount Chief.

But when he heard that there was one who could leap high

he wanted to destroy him.

Each time they met the other would leap and vanish.

One day he looked at the Moon
and called all the warriors to gather
They made a ladder that reached the moon.
They surrounded him
He who could leap so high.
He was nearly killed
but the Spirit of Love
came and said
This is my son
I gave him his name
He is your brother
I will not let you kill him.
And from that day
they fought together as brothers
and their battles were long
and they were triumphant.

  1. Wow! It's a legend may be...similar to that of Kino, but with a hidden meaning.

What happen to the first born, will he become their chief?

  2. Very good piece. I think you definitely should paint more. This is a God-given talent. Maybe work towards having an exhibition? Let Him inspire you into producing more pieces and then plan the edhibition? It'd be good for you in many ways. Do keep working on your art!!!

  3. Ya, and your commentaries on your pieces do help us, who are ignorant of the folk tales. Maybe have the tales written out and exhibit with the paintings. After the exhibition, maybe even work towards a book with paintings and legends. I believe the fame will be very good for you when you want to promote other things in your agenda. Fame and wealth are very helpful for kingdom work. But must keep objectives clear and staadfast. All the best.

  4. The first born it seems is little known till this day. For me it suggests that people go for the traditional leader who seems string and do not see the greater spiritual leader....this man's condition. To be deceived even when they look for heroes...the real heroes must be discerned by those who open their spirit to Jesus....

  6. Yes, there are many ways to reach an objective, But God's ways are so much higher than man's ways!!! Keep your ears tuned, and your attitude of heart humble and trusting. Be courageous when He directs you. Wait on Him and "consider the paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm" [Prov 4:25-26]. All Glory to Him and Him alone!!! Your talent is definitely a gift from Him to delight you, and to show you that He delights in you. GBU!
