Here is a segment from Martin Luther Kings speech...
"I Have A Dream"

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together."2

This is our hope, and this is the faith that I go back to the South with.

With this faith, we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope.

With this faith, we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood.

With this faith, we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

And this will be the day -- this will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with new meaning:

LISTEN CAREFULLY

But the hireling flees because he is not concerned with the sheep. I am the good shephard. And I know Mine and Mine know Me. Even as the Father knows Me, and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep. And the other sheep I have which are not of this fold.- I have to bring them as well, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one flock, one shepherd.

PROMISE OF FREEDOM

I am posting from Johore. Here is something to ponder on. It's a segment from Barack Obama's innaugral speech.

On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.
We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.
In reaffirming the greatness of our nation, we understand that greatness is never a given. It must be earned. Our journey has never been one of shortcuts or settling for less. It has not been the path for the faint-hearted — for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures of riches and fame. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things — some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom.

I dont know how your valentines day started... mine started with a desire to restore lost love. mm.. I guess SOS BELOVED has influenced how I see things. And , well, the forgiveness issue is tricky. I learnt that the way God forgives us is so healing...if only we could learn to do the same, we would not be dragged down when we could rise up...It is the devils way to drain our potential and get us all complicated as they say....

So I pray that God will release me from unforgiveness and restore my lost love

"All sufficient" is what El Shaddai means! It means that Almighty God, the One who is eternally able to do anything, is also capable of being all that His people need whenever they need it.
